Why does the message 'Unable to Get Backup Set' appear when a backup set runs?

Answer

This message can occur because the Windows user account the backup set was originally created under is not the user account that was logged in when the backup set tried to run.

To prevent this issue:

  1. Open the LogMeIn Backup console on the source computer and choose User Settings on the left.
  2. Select the Scheduled Backups option and choose Run Scheduled Backups on behalf of:
  3. Enter the Windows user account that was logged in when the backup set was created.
