Kaspersky is blocking LogMeIn Hamachi, what can I do?

Symptom

LogMeIn Hamachi is not able to communicate with other computers because Kaspersky Endpoint for Business is blocking the connection.

Cause

By default, Kaspersky blocks ICMP packages.

Resolution

  1. On your host computer, open the Kaspersky console by clicking the K icon in your system tray (usually in the lower-right corner of your screen).
  2. Click the Settings tab.
  3. Click Anti-Virus protection.
  4. Click Firewall.
  5. Click Network packet rules.
  6. Uncheck Incoming ICMP stream.
  7. Click OK.
ICMP traffic is no longer blocked by Kaspersky.
