LogMeIn Backup transfer speeds are determined by the Internet upload and download speeds of both the source and storage computers. LogMeIn Backup does compress the data during a transfer with a 2/1 compression ratio. This will help decrease the time a backup takes. Also, after the initial backup is completed, subsequent backup transfers will not take as long because only files that have changed since the last backup set ran will be transferred.
If the backup set is too big and will take too long to transfer over the Internet, the software does provide a function to physically move backup sets with a USB drive or other medium to the storage computer. This is known as a backup set Export.
