How do I manually remove the ActiveX/Firefox plugin so that I can reinstall it?

Internet Explorer 8

  1. Sit at the client computer (the computer you use to access other computers). 
  2. Open Internet Explorer and go to Tools > Manage add-ons.
  3. Under the Add-on Types group on the left is a drop-down menu labeled Show, choose All Add-ons.
  4. Locate the Performance Viewer ActiveX control and double-click it.
  5. Click Remove.
  6. Restart all instances of Internet Explorer.
  7. When you next connect to a host computer, you will be prompted to download the ActiveX plugin.

Internet Explorer 9

  1. Sit at the client computer (the computer you use to access other computers). 
  2. Open Internet Explorer and click the Gear icon > Manage add-ons.
  3. Under the Add-on Types group on the left is a drop-down menu labeled Show, choose All Add-ons.
  4. Locate the Performance Viewer ActiveX control and double-click it.
  5. Click Remove.
  6. Restart all instances of Internet Explorer.
  7. When you next connect to a host computer, you will be prompted to download the ActiveX plugin.

Firefox

Important! This is only valid if you are Firefox version 25 or below. 
For best results, always use the latest version of Firefox with the LogMeIn Client app.
  1. Sit at the client computer (the computer you use to access other computers). 
  2. From the Firefox menu or Tools menu, click Add-ons.
  3. On the Add-ons page, click the Extensions tab (not the plugins tab).
  4. Highlight LogMeIn, Inc. Remote Access Plugin.
  5. Click Remove.
  6. Restart Firefox.
  7. When you next connect to a host computer, you will be prompted to download the Firefox plugin.
