How do I fix a 'Performance Viewer ActiveX Control' error?

Removing this control from the local system and reinstalling it usually solves this problem.

First, end your remote control session.

In Internet Explorer:

  1. Click Tools, then click Manage Add-ons.
  2. Next to "Show:", select Add-ons that have been used by Internet Explorer.
  3. Find Performance Viewer ActiveX Control in the list and remove it.

Next time you connect to the target, you will be prompted to install the ActiveX plugin again.
