How can I resolve a '502 Bad Gateway' DNS certificate error?

Answer

If you receive this error when trying to open LogMeIn locally, please open Internet Explorer and go to Tools > Internet Options > Connections > LAN Settings.  Uncheck the box next to "Automatically detect settings" to resolve the problem.
