Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Business

Premier subscribers can install and activate Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Business on Windows computers in their LogMeIn Central account.

Once you have installed Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Business to your computers, you can manage anti-virus status, updates, and more from within the Anti-virus dashboard in LogMeIn Central.

What is Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Business?

Kaspersky Lab's Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Business uses real-time information to proactively identify and protect against unique, sophisticated threats. It provides a unique file-restore function should the system be impacted.

System Requirements for Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Business

  • Windows Vista or newer (including 64-bit)
  • Windows Server 2008 or newer (including 64-bit)
Important: LogMeIn cannot install the server version of Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Business; only the workstation version is installed. As a result, server or domain level functionality is not available, such as network traffic monitoring, server-pushed scheduled scans, and file share scanning. The following features are included in the version of Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Business offered by LogMeIn:

  • Web Anti-Virus
  • Instant Messaging Anti-Virus

  • Network Attack Blocker
  • System Watcher

Installing Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Business

Here's how to install and activate Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Business on any Windows host.

Who can use this feature? The ability to activate and manage Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Business is available to any Account Holder of a LogMeIn Central Premier subscription and to users in a Premier account with the following permissions: Enable LogMeIn Central and Update and Anti-Virus Management.
  1. In LogMeIn Central, go to Anti-virus.
  2. Select the checkbox for each computer you want to work with.

    Required host software: On Windows, version 4.1.0.8310 or higher.

    The Actions button is activated at the top of the page.
  3. Click Actions > Install Kaspersky.
    • For each host that is online with no conflicting anti-virus software installed, Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Business is installed and activated.
    • If conflicting anti-virus software is detected, you must remove it before continuing.
      Tip: An incompatible software list is available on the Kaspersky's support site.
    • If offline hosts are detected, you should bring them online before continuing.

    The host-side end user does not need to take action to complete the installation. Host-side users are not interrupted.

Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Business remains active as long as a host remains attached to your LogMeIn Central Premier account. Activation renews automatically every 30 days.

Removing Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Business

Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Business is not removed when you uninstall LogMeIn host software from a computer.

When you remove LogMeIn or detach a host from your account, Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Business remains installed, but does not renew. Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Business eventually notifies the host-side user that the service is no longer active.

To remove Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Business from a host, you must manually uninstall it.
