The host will automatically lock when the remote control session ends.
Mac Plugin component included in installation package
The LogMeIn host installer now automatically installs the plugin component.

Mac Host
LogMeIn host installer
The following improvements have been made to the LogMeIn host installer:

When you install the LogMeIn host for Mac, users must fill in mandatory fields in every page of the installation dialog to proceed to the next page.

The pages for entering/choosing an email address, password, and subscription type are now merged.
Enhanced automatic update
Zip file support and binary patch update added to the automatic updater. This results in faster and more network-efficient downloading of updates.
OpenSSL support
The latest OpenSSL library has been added to further enhance security.
Support for international keyboards
Complete support for national keyboards when using Ignition for iPhone or iPad to access a host that runs on Leopard and Snow Leopard. (Tiger is not supported.)
Fixes
Mac Plugin
Remote Printing
In some cases, code samples could not be printed remotely. Either nothing or empty pages were printed.
Handling of full screen during remote control
In some cases during remote control, LogMeIn stopped responding when you switched off LogMeIn on the host or exited remote control. This only occurred when controlling a host in full screen mode. As of this release, remote control can always be stopped in full screen mode.
Improved plugin localization
The Plugin uninstaller is now fully localized.
Mac Host
Desktop Sharing
Using the Whiteboard during Desktop Sharing
The guest was able to use the Whiteboard during Desktop Sharing even if he was not allowed to do so. To allow a guest to use your screen as whiteboard, select The guest can use my screen as a whiteboard when the session is established.
Desktop sharing invitations
When opening an active desktop sharing invitation on the LogMeIn host interface, it lost focus after Disable or Activate was clicked.
Desktop Sharing links
The number of times a Desktop Sharing link was answered was incorrectly displayed on the Desktop Sharing Details page. This error only occurred if the link was answered more than once.
File Manager
Starting the File Manager
In some cases, the File Manager behaved unexpectedly when the browser loaded the page.
Cancelling actions in the File Manager
In some cases, it was not possible to cancel an action in the File Manager because the Cancel button was disabled.
Deleting a local directory
In some cases, the File Manager behaved unexpectedly when you deleted a directory on your local computer.
Synchronizing folders
The following errors occurred during synchronization:
• In some cases during synchronization, large files were overwritten without notifying the user. This only occurred if you synchronized folders on a Mac and a PC.
• If synchronization transferred large files from a Windows to a Mac host, then files sometimes became corrupted.
• In some cases, cancelling synchronization or navigating to another page, for example to Preferences, caused the File Manager to behave unexpectedly.
Session timeout
In some cases, the File Manager stopped responding when the session timed out.
Changing directory
In some cases, the File Manager behaved unexpectedly if you changed to the parent directory on the local computer and refreshed the File Manager pane several times.
Restoring browser window during copying
The browser window was not restored to its original size during copying files. This only occurred if you minimized the browser window and tried to restore it by clicking the application icon in the dock. The browser was restored when you opened it from Applications.
Memory-management issue with synchronization
A memory-management issue occurred after cancelling synchronization.
Mac host locked after screensaver is activated
A Mac host was locked and not accessible after the screensaver was activated on the host. This only occurred if the Mac host required a password to close the screensaver.
Exceeded idle time redirected the user from the File Manager
You were redirected to the home page of the web interface if you performed any action in the File Manager and left the confirmation dialog open for longer than the allowed idle time.
Duplicated parent directory links
If a directory name on a Mac host contained an ! or # character, two parent directory links were displayed in the File Manager.
Improved error messages
File Manager error messages have been improved when trying to enter a restricted directory on your local computer.
Recycle Bin
Recycle Bin was renamed to Trash in the File Manager on Mac hosts.
Visited directories were not shown
The history of visited directories did not appear in the File Manager’s drive selector window.
File Manager confirmation dialog behaved unexpectedly
In some cases, the File Manager stopped responding:
• When a confirmation dialog opened
• When you navigated to another page using the browser’s Back button
Mac Host User Interface
Displaying language settings
The language of the host user interface was set to English instead of English UK when you installed a Mac host with British English language settings.
Power button was disabled on host user interface
It was not possible to turn on LogMeIn with the power button on the host user interface after tuning it off. It was still possible to turn it on with the Turn on button on the Welcome page.
File Sharing links disappeared
In some cases, links disappeared from the Shared files list. This error only occurred if the following were true:
• The shared file was deleted or moved
• You clicked the link
The link was displayed after restarting the host.
Closing the Host User Interface after network connection was lost
It was not possible to close the Host User Interface if network connection was lost during a remote control session.
Personal password could contain non-Latin characters
It was possible to enter non-Latin characters as personal password.
Uptime was not displayed correctly
The uptime of the host was not displayed correctly on the Host User Interface’s Overview page.
IP address filtering rule issues
The following errors occurred when defining IP address filtering rules:
• The type of the rule was displayed incorrectly on the Host User Interface. This only occurred if you set the IP address filtering rule on the web interface.
• The subnet for IP address filtering rules was not displayed on the Host User Interface.
• Deleting the asterisk (*) from the subnet field prevented users from retyping an address.
Changing subscription type
When you changed the subscription type on the LogMeIn host interface, the subscription type on the About page and the actual features related to the new subscription type were not updated at the same time.
Displaying the time allowed for user’s consent
The Time to wait for user's consent field in Preferences > General Settings displayed time in D:HH:MM:SS format. As of this release, it displays time is seconds only.
Proxy settings were not updated
Proxy settings were not updated when you clicked Get proxy settings on the LogMeIn host interface. This only occurred if the following were true:
• Proxy settings were defined on the LogMeIn host interface
• Proxy settings were disabled in the host system
Editing request messages
When you edited a request message, pressing Enter highlighted the message. As of this release, pressing Enter functions as carriage return.
Unicode characters in the Event Monitor
In some cases, the Event Monitor was not able to display Unicode characters.
Status of automatic updates was incorrect
The status of automatic updates was not refreshed on the About page of the LogMeIn host interface when you changed the update settings in Options > Preferences > Advanced > Software Updates. As of this release, the status of automatic updates appear correctly on the About page after restarting the LogMeIn host interface.
Event log path was not saved
The event log path was not saved when you typed it manually on the LogMeIn host interface.
You can find this setting in Options > Preferences > Advanced > Event logs.
Restarting LogMeIn
In some cases, you had to restart your computer to restart LogMeIn. This error occurred because turning LogMeIn off did not always stop all background processes.
Installer and Updates
LogMeIn host installer
The following have been changed in the LogMeIn host installer:
• Localization has been improved
• It was not possible to install the host if you selected Italian, Dutch, Russian, or Japanese language
Updating your Mac host
The following errors occurred when you updated your Mac host:
• When you updated a Mac host with British English or Korean language settings, the updater did not display labels correctly. As of this release, the Mac host updater is fully localized for English-UK and Korean.
• Notifications appeared in separate windows instead of on the same sheet.
• The log file included file size mismatch error.
Automatic update installation
Updates were not installed automatically if you selected the Install downloaded updates when LogMeIn is idle in
Options > Preferences > Advanced > Software Updates. As of this release, this option is not available.
Automatic update did not restart the LogMeIn host interface
The LogMeIn host interface did not close after selecting manual update. As of this release, manual update closes the LogMeIn host interface and then opens it again after installation.
Version information
The client and host installer applications did not contain the same version information.
Uninstalling the host
Mac hosts were not removed from the web interface after uninstalling the host.
Localization
Localization improvements in the host application
The following improvements have been made to localized content:
• The localized text of reboot options mentioned Windows when you wanted to hard reboot a Mac host. You can find the reboot options in Preferences > Advanced Settings > Reboot Options.
• The system tray options on a Mac client contained extra characters when set to English-UK.
Log File
Attack blocker variables in the log file
The LogMeIn log file used the DoSFilter variable for both authentication attack blocker and Denial of Service attack blocker settings. As of this release, authentication attack blocker settings are marked with the LogonFilter variable.
Logging proxy settings
Automatically detected proxy settings were not encrypted in the log file.
Remote Control
Support for full screen applications on Mac
In some cases, full screen applications, such as Keynote presentations, did not appear correctly during remote control.
Remote controlling multiple monitors
Remote control did not work correctly on multi-monitor systems if mirroring was turned on.
Chat dialog
The following errors occurred with the chat window on a Mac host:
• It was not in focus on opening it
• It did not resize when you maximized your browser to full screen.
Printer’s progress bar
In some cases the printer’s progress bar remained on the screen after printing finished.
Mouse cursor flickered
The mouse cursor flickered during remote control in Safari when you moved an item on the desktop.
Login screen message for Mac hosts
The message on the login screen was incorrect when you connected to a Mac host. It prompted users to enter their Windows credentials.
Browser closed when connecting to a locked host
In some cases, the browser on the client was closed when you connected to a locked host.
Connected printers
Printers were listed available on Mac hosts after you disconnected them during remote control.
Displaying computer name during remote control
The first character of the computer name was not displayed if you remote controlled a host in normal screen mode. As of this release, computer name is only displayed if you remote control a host in full screen mode.
Screen resolution
In some cases, remote control stopped responding if screen resolution was changed on a Mac host.
Custom user consent message
In some instances, Safari stopped responding if you rejected a custom user consent message.
Remote controlling a RemotelyAnywhere host
The mouse only moved by pressing and holding the right button when you remote controlled a RemotelyAnywhere host from a Mac client.
Manually connecting printers
The browser stopped responding if you connected a printer manually on a Mac host. This only occurred if there was more than one printer connected to the host.
Changing screen size during remote control
In some cases, switching to full screen mode during remote controlling a host stopped the browser from responding. This only occurred if you first selected the custom zoom option from Options > View.
Medium color quality settings
The browser behaved unexpectedly when you exited from remote controlling a host that had medium color quality settings.
Using the magnifier during remote control
In some cases, the host application was closed if the following were true:
• The magnifier was used during remote controlling a host.
• The remote control session was ended.
• The remote control session was started again.
Cancelling remote control or File Manager in Safari
In some cases, Safari behaved unexpectedly when you cancelled starting a remote control or File Manager session.
Printer connection dialog
In some cases, the printer connection dialog was displayed even if you selected the Don’t display this message again option when connecting a printer.
Connection Alert dialogs appeared incorrectly
The Connection Alert and Connection Alert History dialogs opened on top of each other if you connected more than one printer during remote controlling a host.
Security, Access, and User Rights
Computer Access Code’s length
There was no minimum requirement for the length of the Computer Access Code when you modified that on the host.
Personal passwords
The following errors occurred when using personal passwords:
• An error was displayed when you logged in to a PC host with a personal password
• Personal passwords were not encrypted in log files
• In some cases, the personal password was disregarded when connecting to a host that required a Computer Access Code
Full control was not provided for non-administrator users
Full control was not provided to non-administrator users. You had to provide full access right to users by modifying their rights in
Options > Preferences > User Access Control > Show details.
LogMeIn preferences
LogMeIn preferences were accessible to non-admin users from the OS X menu.
System Tray
Switching off LogMeIn was not confirmed
When you switched off LogMeIn from the system tray of a Mac host, no confirmation was displayed.
System tray icon did not appear when another user logged in
When a user logged of a computer and another user with different user rights logged in, the LogMeIn icon did not appear on the system tray. This error only occurred on the Mac mini.
Duplicated update notifications
Notifications were duplicated on the system tray when the host was updated.
Web Interface
Renamed options
The following text changes were made for Mac hosts in the Preferences section on the web interface:
• General Settings was renamed to General
• Security Settings was renamed to Security
• Advanced Settings was renamed to Advanced
• In
Security Settings > User Access Control > Show details, the
Allow login information to be saved option was renamed to
Allow login credentials to be saved.
Newly installed Mac hosts
In some cases, Mac hosts were not displayed as Online on the web interface after installation.
Refreshing File Manager in Safari 5
In some cases during a File Manager session, Safari 5 stopped responding after clicking the File Manager or Dashboard links multiple times.
Wake On LAN
It was not possible to wake Mac hosts in sleep mode with Wake On LAN.
